Sizing your Pool or Spa

How big is your pool ?
Properly sizing your pool is critical in determining a chemical
program. This allows you to use the proper amounts of chemicals to keep
your water crystal clear and healthy.
Formulae for calculating the volume of your pool
All dimensions are in metres. |

Rectangular Pools
Length x Width x Average Depth x 1000 = Total Litres |

Circular Pools
Diameter x Diameter x Average Depth x 780 = Total Litres |

Oval Pools
Long Diameter x Short Diameter x Average Depth x 780 = Total Litres |
For irregular shaped pools (eg. kidney shape), break
it up into two or more of the shapes above, calculate the volume of
the separate areas, then add them to obtain the total pool volume. |
